Sorry for the double post...
anyway, to make up for that, I visited target today and found two or three new anime dvds for 28.99. The labels were there and everything. So much for Target deals...

I checked the local GameStop yesterday, but they only have one big used DVD section with all kinds of DVDs, anime mixed in. But there was no indication that the anime DVDs were 50% off. Is it 50% off the used DVD price, or what?
I don't really shop at GameStop, so I don't know if they normally have new DVDs or only used ones, or what
But the sticker prices on the (used) anime seemed to be in the range of $9.99-$12.99. So I was wondering if it was 50% off that price. I should've asked there, but I was in a hurry. D'oh.

I don't really know how long Gamestop will be having the sale. As mentioned they're trying to get rid of the remainder of their stock of anime DVD's at all the stores.
It's only good for new anime DVD's.

If anyone is considering buying the limited edition Escaflowne box set from Rightstuf, you might want to reconsider. I just received mine and it arrived in perfect shape. However, this set is supposed to be limited to 10,000 units and my set has a serial number of 12,365. I just e-mailed Rightstuf to find out why my set isn't numbered between 1 and 10,000. If this set is not limited, I would rather pick up the Perfect Collection that comes out next week at DDD for less money. I'll update this post after I hear back from Rightstuf.

There's nothing wrong with that. Bandai has made more LE's in the past as was the case with Cowboy Bebop and now with SMJ UC. IIRC the Escaflowne box set first run was increased because demand was high. (to bad retailers still had them instock for a long time)

I thought Escaflown LE was originally limited to 15,000. Cowboy Bebop LE was initially limited to 10,000 and then 5,000 more were made due to demands. After that, 15,000 seems to be magic number for their LEs.

Take Escaflowne LE w/Figure for example: there's suppose to be 10,000 numbered boxes, yet... hard to believe that the studio haven't sold that many in the years that it's been in the market.
Also, WHR LE is a great price. Weren't these rare and hard to find months ago? You can't even find these in retailers anywhere. Yet now, TRS all of a sudden have a tons for sale.
I don't know... maybe some of these *limited box* are not so limited after all. The only few that I've seen go and stay gone are Cowboy Bebop LE Box, Chobits Box (also 1 w/stationary), ??? what else??? You see my point... seems like out of the gazillion *limited box* releases out there, only a few are truly rare. (not including the limited volumes w/pencil boards, etc.)
Anyone else feel the same with Limited Editions? Maybe a waste of money to collect?

This was why I asked this earlier.
Initial release was limited to 10,000... I agree with -SPJ-, there's no point of releasing a LE when more is made because of demand. I didn't find any news of Bandai bumping it up to 15,000. All the sites list this product to be limited to 10,000.
